UAE residents can choose either the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi or the US Consulate General in Dubai. If your interview is in Abu Dhabi, here is what the day usually looks like.
Choosing Abu Dhabi
When booking on the official portal, compare available dates at both posts. Sometimes one shows earlier openings than the other.
Before you go
Check your appointment letter for the exact address and time, and plan travel time from Dubai or other emirates.
Security rules
Large bags and electronics are normally not allowed. Bring only documents and essentials.
During the interview
Listen carefully, answer briefly and honestly, and hand over documents only when asked. Always confirm current rules on the official US Department of State and US Embassy UAE websites, as requirements and fees can change. Global Migratz is independent and not affiliated with the US government.
