How do UAE residents apply for a US tourist visa?
If your nationality and circumstances require a visitor visa, the process generally includes a DS-160 application, the applicable government fee and the appointment/interview steps required by the US authorities. Tourism and family visits fall under B-2; B-1 covers eligible temporary business activities. Check the official rules for your case.

B-2 tourist visa and B1/B2 visitor visa guidance
B-2 covers activities such as tourism and visiting family or friends. B-1 covers certain temporary business activities, such as attending meetings, within the permitted rules. A combined B1/B2 visa does not give unrestricted permission to work or study in the United States.
Describe what you actually intend to do. If your main purpose is employment or a programme of study, consult the official information about the appropriate visa category instead of presenting it as a holiday.
US tourist visa applications from Dubai and Abu Dhabi
Applicants living in the UAE should review the official instructions for applying in their country of nationality or residence. Passport nationality, residence and individual eligibility matter; an Emirates ID does not guarantee a US visa or replace nationality-specific travel requirements.
We assist enquiries from Dubai, Abu Dhabi and other emirates. Tell us your passport nationality and current residence so we can discuss the relevant application steps rather than offer a one-size-fits-all checklist.
Documents and interview preparation
Follow the official required-document list and prepare genuine information relevant to the purpose of travel, funding and your circumstances. No bank balance, employment letter or invitation independently guarantees approval.
At the interview, be ready to explain your real plans and the details in your application. Each applicant is assessed individually, including families travelling together.
Plan travel without relying on a promised visa date
Appointment availability and visa processing are different stages. An interview date is not a visa decision, and published wait-time estimates are not a promise of when your passport will be returned.
The Department of State advises against making final travel plans or buying tickets until you have a visa. Global Migratz cannot guarantee issuance, validity, admission to the United States or a particular travel date.
Optional Full Service application assistance
If you need help with forms and appointment planning, enquire about Full Service. If you have already completed your application and booked an interview, Appointment Reschedule may be more relevant. We confirm the exact assistance and a full written quote before payment.
You can apply independently using official government resources. Global Migratz is an optional private consultancy, not the US Embassy or an authorised government appointment authority.

Frequently asked questions
Is a B1/B2 visa the same as permission to work in the USA?
No. Visitor visas allow permitted temporary visitor activities, not general employment. Consult official category rules if your purpose is work or study.
Can Indian or Pakistani passport holders apply while living in the UAE?
Review the official UAE application instructions and rules for applying in your country of residence. Nationality, residence and individual circumstances determine the applicable requirements; UAE residence does not guarantee approval.
Can you tell me the current US tourist visa waiting time?
Use the Department of State wait-time information and the official appointment system. Estimates and calendar dates change, and they do not guarantee a decision or passport-return date.
Do children need their own application?
Each applicant required to complete a DS-160 needs their own form. Interview attendance or waiver eligibility must be checked against current official instructions, not assumed from age alone.
Are your service charges government visa fees?
No. Optional consultancy charges are separate from US government visa fees. Ask for the full written service quote and terms before payment.
