US Tourist Visa Appointment in Dubai: Step-by-Step Guide for UAE Residents

Step 1: Complete the DS-160 form

The DS-160 is the online nonimmigrant visa application on the official CEAC website. Fill it carefully — your answers must match your passport and supporting documents. Save the confirmation page with the barcode.

Step 2: Create your appointment account and pay the MRV fee

Create a profile on the official UAE appointment portal (ais.usvisa-info.com), enter your DS-160 number and pay the MRV visa application fee using the methods shown there.

Step 3: Book your interview in Dubai or Abu Dhabi

Choose the post and the earliest date shown. Wait times change often, so many applicants book the first available date and keep checking the portal for earlier openings that are released.

Step 4: Prepare your documents

Bring originals where possible:

• Passport valid at least six months beyond your stay
• DS-160 confirmation page and appointment letter
• Recent 2x2 inch photo meeting official rules
• UAE residence visa / Emirates ID
• Salary certificate, bank statements and travel plan

Step 5: Attend the interview

Arrive about 15 minutes early, leave electronics behind and answer clearly and honestly. The consular officer alone decides the outcome. Always confirm current rules on the official US Department of State and US Embassy UAE websites, as requirements and fees can change.
